A Lima councilman and a local business have teamed up to give back this upcoming holiday season.
Councilman Dr. Derry Glenn acknowledged a donation being made by Nickel Steel Federal Credit Union, to Changing Seasons. The non-profit is a division of Coleman Professional Services that assists those that are 18 and older who may be homeless, battling drug addiction or affected by mental illness. Nickel Steel has been collecting items such as gently used clothing, non perishable food and toiletries.
“We have things we wanted to get out, but we didn’t want to sell them,” said Laurie Hodosko, Assistant Manager of Nickel Steel FCU. “We wanted to donate them to somebody that could use them. so we talked to Derry and he told us about Changing seasons. We’ve been bringing stuff of our own in throughout the months and we decided to do the community one and do it for Changing Seasons.”
Nickel Steel felt Changing Seasons was the right non-profit since a lot of their members associate with it.
