Coleman Crisis Stabilization Unit

Located in Allen, Portage and Stark Counties

Managing psychiatric emergencies and stabilizing crises.

Coleman’s Crisis Stabilization Units (CSU) serve people facing addiction or a mental health crisis.

Located in Allen, Stark and Portage Counties, Coleman offers multi-bed CSUs in a safe, comfortable, neighborhood setting.

Clients can stay for up to two weeks – receiving medication management, individual and group counseling, linkage to community resources, 24/7 care and monitoring.

The individual is then referred to a less restrictive outpatient service where they can continue on their treatment path and reach recovery goals.

About Our Staff

All Coleman CSU staff – clinicians, psychiatrists, nurses and technicians – receive robust training in how to provide trauma informed care. Our compassionate and caring staff serve our clients in a variety of ways, including case management, medication management, counseling, admission & discharging and more.

About Our Facilities

The Coleman 13-bed crisis stabilization unit is a safe, welcoming Trauma Informed Environment. It is private, secure and located in a safe, quiet neighborhood.

Clean & Sanitized

Coleman takes a whole-client approach to wellness – making sure crisis recovery treatment takes place in a sanitized, inviting and relaxing environment.

New Kitchen–Nutritious Menu

Our in-house kitchen serves fresh, healthy meals from a menu plan developed by a professional nutritionist. Clients may participate in the preparation of meals with new appliances – which also helps engage clients in their treatment and contributes to building life skills.

Sensory Spaces

Our innovative staff have created a colorful garden that makes our fenced-in property an oasis where clients can relax and even help maintain the flowers and plants!
